About Alerting Solution (Formerly Hormann America)
Alerting Solution, Inc. (ASI) is a global leader in public warning and notification systems for government, industry, campuses and malls. ASI technology integrates all major warning tools, including Telephone, Text Messaging, Internet, Emergency Alert System, NOAA Weather Radio, indoor and outdoor voice sirens electronic signs, allowing them all to be driven by a single warning message. ASI's easy-to-use systems are based on the Common Alerting Protocol and other open standards. They may be used for both emergency and non-emergency messages.
Alerting Solutions began operation in California by installing an all-hazards warning system in Contra Costa County after a 1992 chemical release sent 20,000 residents to area hospitals. The operation started under Sage Alerting Systems, American Signal Corporation and Hormann GmbH. The business was restructured in 1999, and organised as an independant California corporation.
