The I.O.A. are the U.K's official show partner to one of Europes most prestigious shows where exhibitors compete for the coveted Golden Pin award or one of the solid gold bird rings.alluded to in the name of the show

Held every December in the Belgian town of Roeslare  the Golden Ring Show attracts exhibitors from all over Europe and an entry of 5,000 plus birds is not uncommon. Every branch of aviculture is catered for at this C.O.M. show , from canaries to quail ,  there is even a section for birds of prey , add to this the many trade stands that supply all the needs of the bird keeper along with the sales area and you will soon see there is smething for everyone.

 

The I.O.A. first conveyed members birds to the Golden Ring in 2009 ( for full details visit the archive pages here ) and the show has now become a regular event on the I.O.A. calender . In 2011 I.O.A. members won a total of 14 medals from an entry of 188 birds ---our biggest entry , our biggest medal 'haul' . The I.O.A. are fully committed to this show and it is hoped that 2012 will see  yet a greater entry and a greater medal tally , our hosts look forward to our participation .

 

The 20th Golden Ring Show will be open to the public on the 1st & 2nd of December 2012 .
