SHANE WOLFORD
- Not only was Shane likely the greatest running back to ever play at
Jackson but he was also a leader on what most people believe to be the
two best teams of all time at Jackson High. TheIronmen made the post
season in Shane's junior and senior seasons (96 & 97). In 1996 they
made it to the regional finals where theyeventually lost to state power
house Columbus Desales. Shane is the all time leading rusher at Jackson
and he rushed for around 2300 yards during his senior season.
JARED HUMPHREYS
- Jared was probably the best all around athlete to ever play sports at
Jackson. Jared started three seasons at QB for the Ironmen
leading them to the playoffs during his junior and senior seasons (03
& 04). Humphreys managed to rush and pass for over 1000 yards in
both his junior and senior seasons. Jared performed at an ALL STATE
level during his last two years as QB and Safety for theIronmen.
ERIC DAVIS
- Many people believe that Eric was the very best offensive lineman to
ever play in the trenches for the Ironmen. He anchored the OLine for
JHS during their great run in the mid 90's when they won 4 straight
SEOAL
titles and went undefeated during the regular season in 1996. Eric went
on to start as a true freshman on the football team at Ohio University.
DAVID SWISHER - David was
the main horse in Jackson's power running game during his junior and
senior seasons (00 & 01). Swisher was a co-captain his senior year
during which he performed well enough to win MVP of the SEOAL and earn
a spot on the ALL STATE TEAM. David went on to play college ball at
Morehead State University.
