About the Artist J.Bernard

Welcome to a world of art where Imagination and innovation meet reality

Creating Art that delights the senses, and stirs the soul.

Please come in and learn more

about one of the most talented young artists from America,

delighting viewers worldwide, and collectors from all walks of life.

Jennifer Bernard is a multi talented artist, creating contemporary oil paintings and drawings, often with a dream-like feeling.

J. Bernard is called 'The Painter of Dreams', and for good reason - her subjects usually develop from internal sources, just as much as the external world, and most often come directly from her own dreams and experiences.

Considered a rising star by many in the art world, Bernard's artwork continues to grow in popularity.

The humanistic, universal symbolism in her work, allows her to reach a wide audiance.

The artist has quickly developed a devoted following of her unique artwork, making her work very collectable. J.Bernard's paintings are a welcome breath of fresh air in the often overly commercialized and mediocre world of art.

More than just imaginative and beautiful paintings, Bernard's work is subtly complex and psychologically powerful.

The artist's fresh and exciting style is a blend of the visionary, iconic, form, and color.

The artist creates contemporary images with Oil paints, on wood panel or canvas.

The artist also uses pastel/conte pencil, acrylic paints, clay, (and various natural and man-made materials for assembalages ) creating drawings, sculpture, and functional decorative art such as furniture.

The artist draws upon her own multi-ethnic background and travels as a source of inspiration as well.

A prodigy as a child, the artist began her art education very young, first being taught at home by her Father, also an artist. However, J.Bernard is considered a self taught artist, having lost her Father at a young age, and developing her talents by her own devotion, without having attended art school.

In addition to traditional gallery, juried shows, and open studio events, Via the internet Jennifer Bernard has been able to share her work with more people than ever, gaining an even larger audience. Bernard's work is collected both in the United States & Internationally. A talent of no small scope, Bernard is ever evolving, and exploring new ideas.

J.Bernard continues to live and work Internationally,

and has recently made a Permanent move to Greece.

Artist Jennifer Bernard to Debut Latest Painting in Prestigious NYC Art Show

Artist Jennifer Bernard has been selected to be included in the Brave Destiny Art Show, in New York City this month. The Brave Destiny Show is the largest exhibition of living Surrealists, fantastic and visionary artists in the world.

(PRWEB) September 19, 2003 ---J.Bernard's provocative new oil painting titled "Emerge" was juried out of hundreds of applicants this year to participate in the Annual show, sponsored by the Society for Art of the Imagination, based in London.

The much anticipated show opens Sept. 20, and will include such notable artists as the late Salvador Dali, Ernst Fuchs, and H.R. Giger, one of the world's foremost artists of Fantastic Realism and Academy Award winner for the designs of the title character and its otherworldly environment in the film "Alien".

The opening ceremonies will be followed by a grand surrealist costume ball and awards ceremony, broadcast live via the internet worldwide. The artist says it's a great honor to be a part of the exciting exhibition.

The artist started her professional career as a commercial artist, working out of her current studio & home. As her work evolved, the artist then moved into the fine arts, focusing on personal creations.

The artist says people are often surprised to find her living in a small town, and usually ask why she doesn't live in a large city such as Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago. She says for her the choice is easy, she has lived in many large cities and prefers the less crowded, more relaxed atmosphere of a small town, adding that being near family is very important also.

Bernard is best known for her wildly imaginative, often surreal oil paintings. Considered a rising star by many in the art world, Bernard's artwork continues to grow in popularity, delighting viewers worldwide, and collectors from all walks of life. The artist has quickly developed a devoted collector base of her unique work. The artist's work is now collected both Nationally & Internationally.

The artist says she is always evolving, and exploring new ideas, and has recently started sculpting- basing the sculptures on some of her paintings.

Bernard exhibits her artwork via the internet on her official web site, where special projects she is working on are also documented & shared with visitors.

The artist also has private showings, open studio nights, and traditional gallery shows thruout the year.

Bernard states that she will continue working towards raising awareness of the arts, particularly in her local area, because it is important for the community. She hopes that learning about artists living in her town or the surrounding areas can be a point of pride for residents, encouraging them to explore their own creativity and fostering an interest in artistic or cultural events that happen locally.
