Yay, we're in Sunnyvale. I've started a blog, which is handier than this site. It's http://millsperov.blogspot.com

Art Portfolio
In addition to work and school and everything, I'm an amateur artist (or maybe craftist...). Anyway, here are some of my original pieces.
Ambigrams! I love ambigrams. This one is of my name and my husband's name (in Cyrillic). Cepė*a and Jennifer
Another ambigram, this one just of my name. I love that it turned out to be so simple, despite the need for a capital N in the middle of the name.
This one is for friends of mine who are getting married. It's still a little rough around the edges. Jacobson is easy to make out; Chang is harder.
This is a busywork piece that started as telephone scribbling but became something I really wanted to finish after I'd filled 1/4 of the paper.
I started creating mandalas several years ago and continued making them larger and more intricate. This is the most recent; it's almost 3ft x 3ft.
A small paper mandala
This is my favorite of the small mandalas. I like it because the tri-symmetry makes it less obviously compass-based.
One of my first mandalas, it was used for Christmas cards. The 10 half circles around the edge fit the main circle by sheer luck. Still, you can see the one above "PEACE" is just a bit small.
This image is of the first photo my (future) husband and I ever took. I gave him the painting as an anniversary gift.
A pair of glasses I painted. They are titled Wave and Particle. (That's the Physics geek in me...)
I saw this image in a National Geographic and thought it would be a nice challenge. The fringe was fun.
I made the can on the right for a marketing class. We had to come up with a new soup product. It was a good opportunity to use Corel Photopaint and play with filters and image distortion.
Here is a project I started on years ago. I've succeeded in making, maybe, one tarot card a year. At this rate I should finish sometime this century.
This is the house across the street from my grandmother's house. I thought it was interesting; they just don't make little 1 bedroom bungalows like this anymore.
And just in case anyone is thinking about it, don't use any of these for anything commercial. I retain copyright and whatever else.
