Here are my work preferences. I list them here so there are no surprises further on:- I prefer working with relatively local people in Southern Arizona
because, as an artist, I can use them frequently. Glamour, Fashion and
Commercial work requires the rapid turnover of new faces. Art does not.
- If you are local and we are talking about working together
for the first time and shooting nudes, I would like to meet with you
over coffee before I set aside time to shoot. I do this because I have
been using internet models long enough to know that far fewer than half
of those taking a run at modeling are actually serious. If you are a
no-show for coffee, I'll know you are not serious and it my cost has
been minimal. On the other hand, if your a no-show after I have done
back flips to schedule you, set up lighting, and spent time selecting
(and in some cases renting or buying) props, I get very cranky.
- I prefer working on a TFP/CD* basis. However, I'll be happy to
negotiate modeling fees. But keep in mind, if the modeling fees are
important to you, copies of the images should not be. You cannot have
it both ways. If your time and your talent are valuable, and that is
not in dispute ... but then my time and my talent are valuable, too. (See the bit about Compensation.)
- Though I'll reimburse reasonable travel expenses regardless
of whether we are working TFP or Fee Paid, I'll not fly you in from
East Armpit, Idaho to shoot you nor will I pick up the tab for your
hotel overnights with your boyfriend/escort. If you feel you need an
escort, they are welcome but, they are on your dime.
- Yes, I shoot nudes. No, you do not have to shoot nudes to work with me. I also do a lot of costume work as well.
- Yes, I'll shoot to your specifications (Glam, SG, Penthouse,
or whatever you need) for your pay website or submission to 3rd party
sites like Suicide Girls. We can easily arrange for you to own all
rights to your images and keep any profits that come from them.
There are some things I will not do:
I also won't shoot your "pitchers" for your MySpace account for less
than $100 an hour with a two and a half hour guarantee - and if your
under the age of 18, I don't even talk want to talk to you. I'm a
photographer. That means your mommy already thinks I'm a "prevert"
who's trying to pry you out of your panties.
