Dr. Urick graduated from the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1996.  Upon graduation, he furthered his training at the University of California San Francisco in a two year advanced general dentistry residency program.  During his tenure at UCSF, Dr. Urick was a chief resident as well as a clinical instructor.

 

In 2002, he co-founded the California Center for Aesthetic Dentistry,  featuring a state of the art facility with the latest high tech modalities available focusing on natural aesthetic restorations.

Dr. Urick is a pioneer; being the first dentist in downtown San Francisco to offer a hard tissue Waterlase laser.  This laser, in most cases, removes tooth decay with no drill and anesthetic.  Other advanced technology offered for the highest quality of care includes: laser diagnostics, digital x-rays, and virtual reality goggles.

 

Dr. Urick performs oral cancer screenings during an examination.  Recently, he has incorporated an additional technology called ViziLitePlus which improves the ability to identify, evaluate and monitor abnormal areas that are difficult to see under conventional lighting.

 

Dr. Urick practices all phases of general and cosmetic dentistry for adults. Services provided include: full mouth reconstruction, smile design, dental implants, tooth color fillings, porcelain restorations, and tooth whitening. Dr. Urick is a certified provider of Invisalign (invisible braces), which straighten teeth with clear removable appliances without traditional braces.

 

Dr. Urick has taken several continuing education courses supporting the highest standards  of contemporary general and cosmetic dentistry. He has been profiled in San Francisco Magazine's "Best of the Bay" and "Top Docs". He was a contributor to "How Healthy Are You- Really" featured in a women's health issue in addition to being one of the dentists on Star  FM101.3 radio Extreme Makeover show.  Additionally, he is a member of several professional organizations, such as: the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Society.
