Q: Where are you located?
A: Kinder World has only 1 location at 6565 Belleau Wood Lane, Sacramento, California 95822. This location is off Freeport Blvd, convenient to I-5.
Q: What is required to enroll?
A: Current immunization record and TB clearance are required for all programs. The free preschool also requires a birth certificate, and verification of income from all adults working in the household.
Q: What is the enrollment process?
A: Call 916.422.5437 to setup a tour or drop-in at any time. After your tour, fill out an enrollment packet, and make sure you have all that is needed to complete your enrollment packet.
Q: What does NAEYC Accredited mean?
A: This indicates Kinder World has been recognized for the highest level of quality care in the early childhood field. Less than 5% of preschools & daycares are awarded NAEYC Accreditation.
Q: Is this a preschool or a daycare?
A: It is both but in either program the children are still learning. This a 12 month preschool program with a daycare on-site.
Q: What ages can attend Kinder World?
A: Ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age can attend at Kinder World.
Q: How do children qualify for the free preschool program?
A: The child must be at least 3 years old by December of that year and never have attended kindergarten. Call 916.422.5437 or email inquiry to kinderworld68@hotmailcom for more details on the income range. The income is verified by the parent’s monthly income pay stubs.
Q: Does Kinder World accept payments from Child Action, PACE, and CAL Works?
A: Yes, they are all accepted and we also accept private pay.
Q: Does Kinder World provide transportation?
A: We do transport to and from local public schools call for a current list or send an email to kinderworld68@hotmail.com.
Q: Can parents enroll children part time?
A: Yes, parents can enroll part days, a few days a week or a few hours a day or for unlimited hours.
Q: How long has Kinder World been licensed?
A: Kinder World was licensed in 1968 as Dotty's Day Nursery.
Q: Are meals included, and are they healthy?
A: Yes meals are included. All meals are very healthy they were developed by nutritionists.
Q: Does a child need to be potty trained to attend preschool?
A: No, they do not have to be potty trained. We work with parents when a child is ready for potty training.
Q: What is the adult child ratio?
A: 1adult to 4 infants in the infant and toddler programs. 1 to 8 in the state preschool program, and 1 to 14 in the school aged children’s program.
Q: What are the qualifications of the teachers?
A: The Executive Director has a master degree in education/early childhood education. All teachers have completed early childhood education course work. They are certified in CPR & First Aid and have passed TB test, background checks, and fingerprints. They also receive training on a regular basis and attend continuing education classes.
Q: How does Drop-in care work?
A: Easy – If you want to use the drop-in care, you call when you need us. But – Our drop-in spot’s are first come, first serve and the child must be registered at Kinder World. So if parents/families fill the spot and you call, we might not be available.
Q: Will my child be ready for kindergarten?
A: Yes, children will learn to socialize with peers, self regulate, and preschool academics.
