I was told there would be a summer lull at work. I guess that's code for "more work than you had to do last month, which was a hell of a lot of work in its own right." Birthday is in less than a month, and the Birchmere has kindly scheduled their shows for maximum birthday celebrating. 20+12 is looking alright from here.

Unrelated: why search for months for the perfect pair of dark denim capris if you aren't going to wear them until July 19? That's half the summer gone! I own clothes for a life I don't lead.

Today I uttered words unknown to womankind: I am tired of going to Target. Which is probably a sign that I should just quit going. My neighbors must think I'm running some kind of consignment shop; every weekend a new load of stuff comes in, and throughout the week, more and more goes out to trash or the car for Goodwill.

Showtime at the Gritspollo

I have seen 29 of the IMDB's top 100 movies. That's nearly a third, but I am told that most folks my age have embraced this new medium called the "talkie" and are out seeing these things all the time. Well damn. I need to catch up. Accordingly, it's Showtime at the Gritspollo. Looking at the list, though, I really think I've seen all the good ones!
