WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU KNEW YOU COULD NOT FAIL?

I was not a miserable girl. I was merely misplaced.


Somewhere within me was the quest, a foolish thought that my gut pushed up like the right answer just a second before the buzzer signals that time is up: travel. See the world. Become a citizen of every other place but this one.


No one believed me, but they thought it was cute. I tried to explain. And then I dared them to doubt me.

On my 30th birthday I hiked a glacier, in white capri pants and a turquoise sweater, making my own way and going as far as I wanted.
