Desert Sunset is my very first acrylic.  It was named by my son.  I was using pastels and I was prompted to paint.  So this was an instructional book and I followed it with the following results.

Between Storms is my second acrylic painting.   I had started it once before and about 2/3 the way through it I whited it completely out, much to the dismay of my husband.  This is attempt number 2.  I was happier with it but will only truly be happy when I am able to take a photo and paint it as my very own original painting.

My largest yet, 16 X 20.  This is also from an instructional book by Jerry Yarnell.  The bottom part was cut off in the picture when I took the photo but I will remedy this soon.  The lighter part of the clouds is actually from the lamp I use, but this gives me an excellent idea for the painting.

This is my smallest painting.  It is also my first painting that I would call an original.  I took a photo of the beach at sunset and from the photo I was able to paint this without instruction.  It is a 4 X 6 canvas with acrylic.

This is my most recent finished work.  It was done on canvas 16X20. From a Jerry Yarnell book.  This is my 3rd attempt at this picture and my best yet I feel.  It was much brighter in real life.  The dead tree still gives me problems I hope to remedy.  I dont really like painting dead trees with the branches.  I gave this as a gift and they were thrilled to accept it so that is all that matters.

This is my first large painting 11X14 done from a photo.  I had lots of fun with it. It took extra time especially becuase it was for someone at work who requested this painting. It put a different spin on it.  Acrylic of course.

Psalm 42:1 ...as the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

One of my favorites so far. Once again this was from an instructional book, so no it is not original.  It is 16X20 on canvas with acrylics.

This is "Scenic Route"  It is not meant to be realistic in it's color.  I would however, love to find a road of such somewhere!  It is 16X20 canvas with acrylic as always.

This is my latest, finished in 05/08.  It is "The less traveled path".  It is 11X14 acrylic on canvas.  I enjoyed doing this one alot.  I tried to get some morning mist going on, hopefully, was able to do so.  I like the purple and green theme.
