We are based at the brand new purpose built facilities at Bowstridge Farm, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire - 10 mins from Junction 2 of the M40 and 15 mins from junction 16 of the M25.

We have a 6 furlong all weather equitrack gallop with a 2 furlong circular trotting/canter all weather track, all weather schooling ground, turf schooling ground, indoor school, large 8 horse walker, lungeing ring and turnout paddocks.

To gain optimum fitness, the horses are trained on either the grass or the all weather gallop which is level for 4 furlongs then climbs gradually for the final 2 furlongs.  For warming up exercises and muscle toning we have the indoor school and a 2 furlong circular walk, trot and canter track.  The varying facilities provide an excellent means for training the young to older horses - flat and national hunt.

The equitrack surfaces we train on are excellent to condition horses for the racecourse and generally benefit horses that suffer from foot problems.

Schooling

To educate the national hunt horses we have an indoor school with poles/jumps and a 2 furlong all weather schooling ground.  We have a modern and traditional schooling grounds which have a range of hurdles - the new easyfix plastic hurdles and the present day traditional racecourse hurdles including traditional full sized steeplechase fences.

The Indoor School

Modern new barn with the same floor surface as the gallop - equitrack.  In the school we can educate young and mature horses in flat work (allowing a horse to move forwards with flexibilty), lungeing, stalls work, trotting poles and the introduction to hurdles.  The indoor school is a very valuable asset to the training of racehorses.

Starting Stalls

For the flat horses we have a three-bay starting stall as well as a wooden model for the younger horses. Both are used regularly to maintain the horses confidence.

Horse Walker

The modern and new horse walker takes eight horses and is used to good effect to warm up and cool off before and after exercise.  To help condition both muscle and bone, it's used also for horses returning to work after periods of rest.

Horse Box

We have our own two horse box for transport to the races, veterinary and racecourse gallops.  For additional transport we use John Hughes and Chiltern Transport.
