Los Angeles Artist McKenzie Wins at ARTV Fine Art Awards Gala in Vegas

McKenzie wins "Best Mixed Media" artist at the Premier Fine Art Awards at the MGM Grand hosted by Cheech Marin and filmed in HDTV for future broadcast.

Las Vegas (PRWEB) November 3, 2005 -- The ARTV Fine Art Awards were held Saturday night at the MGM Grand. Cheech Marin, comic and art collector hosted the star-studded event which honored fine artists working in various categories.
"It was a jaw-dropping event." says one of the spectators, "I liken it to the Academy Award show for artists!" In fact, it is the first of its' kind awards show honoring some of the most talented artists in the world.
Artist McKenzie, won for her achievements in the Mixed Media category. She was recognized for her Biomorphic paintings and experimental works with 3d CyberHolograms (tm)
"I am thrilled beyond words with this award. Fine artists have been overlooked for too long. That is why I have to thank the show organizer, Ms. Roberts. Without her, none of this would have been possible. She is an innovator. She made her vision a reality. She is an artist in her own right!"
McKenzie has created a series of paintings using a revolutionary 3-D process enabling the creation of 'normal' looking color paintings that can be viewed as two dimensional paintings alone, but which jump into holographic 3-D when viewed with the 3d Optics.
"McKenzie has mastered this new code of color "depth" and has used it UNIQUELY. Her work has been elevated to a new level--- creating an amazing experience for the viewers unlike any by artists before her. Her work must been seen to be believed!" says art critic and collector Yuri Marianovsky .

"I love the new challenge of working in 3 Dimensions. I have always painted intrinsically with reds, oranges, and yellows in the foreground and blues and greens in the backgrounds. The core concept is straightforward; encode depth into an image by means of color, then optically decode the color to create a true holographic image." says McKenzie, "It is truly exciting!"

McKenzie's new 3d paintings will be available for public viewing following the awards ceremonies. For more information about where and when to see her works or to be added to the waiting list see www.mckenziegallery.artroof.com
