these are some works that i did while at a residency at the vermont studio center.  on the first day of my residency, i placed a piece of paper over the doormat of my studio building.  as the other artists walked through the door, forms emerged from the mud and ice on the paper. at the end of the night, i brought the paper in and traced around those forms.  all of the subsequent work done that month was derived from that original piece of paper.
