In order to achieve the best possible likeness you will need to provide 3-4 good quality photographs of each subject.
Here are a few tips for taking the photographs:
1. Take the photographs outside, rather than indoors with a flash. This ensures a more natural color match and avoids the dreaded "red-eye".
2. The subject should fill the frame rather than being a speck off in the distance and its eyes should be the same height as yours, even if that means you have to lie on the ground!
3. If you would like more than one subject in a single drawing, include a photo of the subjects together side by side. This gives the correct proportions in relation to one another.
4. Where different photographs are to be combined in one portrait, try to ensure that the light comes from the same direction.
IMPORTANT: I cannot work from studio or professional photographs unless you provide a signed release from the photographer.
All photographs will be returned free of charge after completion of the portrait.
