Western North Carolina is filled with trickles across rocks.  Some bigger than others mind you, but a lot of them.  Bryan, Phillip and I have made numerous trips to the western part of the state as you can see from the long list below.  We are continually looking for new falls to visit and returning to those that we enjoyed the most.  For detailed driving and trail directions, as well as beauty and trail difficulty ratings I recommend Kevin Adam's book "North Carolina Waterfalls".  This is a very comprehensive book and covers all details you will need to find joy in exploring the waterfalls of the Tarheel state.
