You will have to imagine the members of the Jamaica Choir riding through the Kingston streets in a street car like this, which was decorated with green, blue and gold, and with red, white and blue for the occasion.
Daily Gleaner, June 24, 1911 p15
Mr. Astley Clerk’s [street] car representative of the Cowen Music Rooms contained the Jamaica Choir singing appropriate airs as they went along. The car was effectively decorated not only with the British National colours but also with green blue and yellow - green to represent Jamaica, blue the sea with which she is surrounded and yellow the sunshine which is always to be found about her.
