OVERVIEW
I have 12 years experience writing editorial and B-2-B marketing communications copy. I have another 14 years experience as a technical communications specialist, writing documentation and training manuals for end users.
CURRENT STATUS
I have been a full-time employee with Eldorado Computing, Inc./An MphasiS Company for a year or so. In fact, I just received an unexpected annual bonus! Thank you, Eldorado!

2008 ANNUAL REPORT
During the first quarter, I was retained as a consultant by Eldorardo Computing, Inc., a firm for which I have worked, off and on, as a full-time employee since 1991. I returned to full-time employee status with ECI (www.eldoinc.com) in May 2008. Frankly, I'm delighted to be back.
My primary responsibility is the development of on-line help for Javelina, ECI's industry-leading, GUI-based, health claims management system.

The challenge is a significant one. I particularly enjoy adding simple but colorful graphic call-outs to what might otherwise seem like a dishearteningly dense compendium of text and terminology. I also seem to have a knack for identifying possible system issues before they become client concerns. This doesn't always endear me to colleagues, but I am told that my contribution is nonetheless appreciated by those responsible for ensuring system quality and reliability.
As my unique contribution to corporate culture, I have offered to paint the portrait of any colleague or family member willing to sit for me... at no charge. Several colleagues took me up on the offer. My manager ended up with three paintings, one of his wife, one of his newborn daughter, and finally, a painting that references traditional Madonna and Child paintings, featuring his daughter and a woman I invented for the purpose.
I walked into the office today and I've got to tell you, I love this painting.
It is wonderful and I am very appreciative. Just want to let you know that
I will enjoy this painting for a very very long time.
