FOLLOWING ITS 2005 EDUCATIONAL MARKET BREAKTHROUGH, SCOTTSDALE BASED, FINANCIALZ INC., TARGETS THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY WITH ITS EYE OPENING FINANCIAL ANALYSIS TOOL, FINANCIAL GRAMMARTM
January 2, 2006. Scottsdale, Arizona: It slices data, it dices data, it unlocks the secrets of financial analysis for the layman! It's the most significant innovation in financial analysis since the spreadsheet and it's available for just $99. OK, it sounds hokey. But Financial Grammar, a patent-pending financial analysis tool created by Scottsdale-based, FinancialZ Inc, has already been successfully licensed for nearly 80,000 student users through leading US universities only a year after its introduction. Now, FinancialZ Inc is offering a specially designed version of its Financial Grammar software tool to the business community.
According to George Caramanna, a forensic CPA and co-founder of FinancialZ Inc, "The complexity of financial analysis often defeats even the best efforts of professional business analysts to grasp whether a business is succeeding or failing. For example, I've encountered many situations in which a company's profitability has masked dire financial straits.
"There are turning points in the life of any for-profit enterprise when a clear picture of its business activity can make a huge difference. For example, when applying for a business loan, or when evaluating a business as a potential investor, buyer or seller."
Caramanna believes that it shouldn't and doesn't have to be hard to understand financial data. To understand what's going on inside any business - large or small - businesspeople simply need to know how that business has done over time. It's as simple as following the trend lines within four key financial dimensions: profitability, liquidity, leverage and business activity.
Liquidity is a measure of available assets. Leverage describes the relationship of assets to liabilities. Business activity is a measure of the relationship between inventory, sales and collections over time.
Caramanna's solution, Financial Grammar, turns QuickBooks® data into a clear picture of business performance within these key financial dimensions using an easy-to-grasp, graphical format. Financial data for all dimensions is depicted in simple, color-coded graphs over a user-selected period (years, months, quarters, etc.). Advanced users can drill through the graphs to the underlying financial statement figures and generate their own graphic reports based on all commonly used financial measures and ratios. A separate version of this software allows users to import Edgar Online data and analyze publicly traded companies based on the same principals.
The impact of this eye-opening financial analysis software tool is reflected in its rapid acceptance as an educational tool by major US universities as well as one of the nation's largest for-profit educational institutions.
Financial Grammar is now being offered to the business community at $99 for each lifetime license. In addition, FinancialZ Inc. is offering a 15-day, fully functioning, version for free from its website, www.financialzinc.com. During the trial period, users can import an unlimited number of QuickBooks® files and five publicly traded companies from EDGAR® Online®.
FinancialZ Inc. was co-founded in 2004 by George Caramanna, a forensic CPA, and by Andreas Schloissnik, an entrepreneur and electronic engineer. Caramanna is principal of the Focus Group, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Schloissnik founded the firm, 3A, which developed the first widely accepted IEEE 1394 (Firewire) test equipment in 1996. (Under the IEEE 1394 digital communications standard, digital data - animation, still pictures, and sound - can be transferred at high quality and at high speed in real time with just one cable.) In 1999, Schloissnik sold the firm to Yokogowa Corporation of America, where he continued as General Manager until his departure in 2003. He is also a member of the 1394 Trade Association Board of Directors (www.1394ta.org).
