Portraits of Fallen Heroes are dedicated to soldiers who have
died in action while serving their country and to their families.
Soldier Portraits is a non-profit organization that makes portraits of American soldiers who died while involved in the Iraq or Afganistan conflicts. The portraits are provided for free as a way to honor the soldiers and their families. There are many very talented and diverse artists involved with this organization, of which I am one.
I am proud to be a part of Soldier Portraits and honor the soldiers who have given their lives for my country! This page is where I will post the completed portraits of the soldiers I have painted. Portraits that I have not yet finished you can view on my Currently On My Easel page, where you can follow the painting process along to completion.
If you are a family member of a soldier who has died in either Iraq or Afganistan and you would like a portrait done of that soldier, Soldier Portraits. Darla Dixon is the person who organizes and operates the organization; it would not exist without her as it was her brainchild from the beginning.
If you would like to support this organization, please feel free to contact Darla at any time. The artists donate their time and talents to make these portraits for the families of the soldiers, but the artists or the organization must pay the shipping costs to ship the artwork to the families. Shipping artwork in a safe manner is quite expensive and it adds up for the artists, espcecially those who do more than one portrait. Any help in covering these expenses is very much appreciated! You may also help in other ways. Please see How You Can Help on Soldiers Portraits.
THANK YOU FOR CARING!
