Hi everyone!

No I have not forgotten about this blog. I have been sick for the past week and on four different meds to try to clear me up. Had a bit of ttrouble breathing for awhile.

I have just been reminded that CPSA entries will be due in about two months. Eek! I hadn't even started on something! So, I am now doing a portrait of a young girl from my church for my entry. I also have a few soldier portraits to finish up as well, so I have more or less put my onliine auctions on hold for the moment until I catch up. I also plan on doing a tutorial with my son as a model. Finally got him to agree to it! I hope to be adding that here soon.

So, until I can get something finished, take care and keep on drawing!

In response to Ebay's newest policy changes, which is causing a mass exodus of sellers, there has been an new art & craft auction site created. It was created specifically for artists and fine craftsmen to sell their artwork on as an alternative to Ebay.  I have now moved all of auctions to this site. It's called Art and Craft Auctions.

Well, after much thought and prayer, I have come to a decision. Originally, when I started this blog, I intended to post a new painting every day, or at least every other day. Unfortunately, reality has stepped in and interfered with my plans.

I have come to realize that with my job, home, family, animals, commissions, and inspirational work, I simply do not have the time to complete an entire piece everyday, unless it is done in less than my best effort which is unacceptable to me. I would far rather produce work of high quality that I would be proud to display and sell. That cannot be done in one day, or even in a few weeks. It takes time, concentration, and effort. However, I will be posting all of my new artwork here in this blog, so all who subscribe to it will be the first to see my newest work.

In addition, not only do I want to produce high quality artwork, but I would like to post tutorials and other information here that others can, I hope, find useful.

So, in light of all of that, here is my newest ACEO of a Cocker Spaniel. It is 2.5" x 3.5" and it's done with Prismas on vellum film. It is currently for sale on Ebay here.

I didn't get this one finished, but he's about halfway done now. It's another miniature I'm doing for my animal series on Ebay (this will be #4). Again, it's Prismas on vellum film, and it's 3.5" x 2.5" in size.

I'm getting a wonderful response to this animal series and they are selling great on ebay raising a lot of money for the animal shelter!! I'm very excited about that! Thank you to all of you who are supporting me, I really appreciate it.

This miniature drawing is a Black Lab on vellum film made with Prismacolor colored pencils. I'm not real happy with it, but this is a starter for a larger version. The colors and contrast of this digital photo of the drawing is not entirely accurate. I think it looks good in real life, although not my best work, but this photo of it doesn't do it justice.  The background is greener and lighter than in the photo too. Maybe tomorrow I can get a better photo of it and post that. Because of the quality of the photo, I am not putting it up for sale just yet. Perhaps tomorrow.

Good news - Jagar has been sold and is on his way to his new home!!

Today I am posting a painting that I started quite awhile back, but stopped working on for a long time. I have now finished it.

The tiger cub himself has been done with Prismacolor colored pencils while the background is done in pastel. The support is green acid-free Crescent matboard. Size is 7.5" x 9.5" and comes matted to fit an 11" x 14" frame.

Here is jagar, a Bengal cat.  Yes, he's a domestic cat not one of the Big Cats! His eyes are what really inspired me to do this painting.  The size is 2.5" x 3.5" and is Prismacolor colored pencils on vellum film. It is currently on sale here on Ebay.

I have just started the Daily Painter's Project and am going to be trying to create a different painting every day. I will post the painting here and tell a bit about it. I hope you join me in this journey and enjoy the ride!!
