Here are drawings and paintings I am currently working on. This is also where my clients may view updates on my work so they can follow along on the progress of their portraits.

Here is a new small piece that is being done for a show next month. It is a study in white. Believe it or not, the focus is not on the canister, but on the white drapery surrounding it.
I am making the cloth the canister is sitting on with a combination of blues and white. The drapery to the right is being done with cool grays and white. I placed the red canister into the composition simply to liven it up a bit with its color, but also because of the colorful reflections I knew the canister would cast on the objects around it. If you look closely, you will notice that the red canister is reflecting red shadows onto the white drapery. Painting white is always an interesting challenge.
As you can see, this is still a work-in-progress. I am almost done with it now, so it should be only a couple of days work left on it.
This is on Pastelbord. Medium is Prisma colored pencils.

10/22/09 Update:/
SFC Adams - Now that the cooler weather has arrived, I will be able to start working on this portrait again. We're still having a few warm/hot days here and there, but for the most part, it's cool again! I apologize for the delay on this piece.
This portrait is being done on sand colored Colourfix paper, 11" x 14" in size, and using only Prismas (with bristle & stencil brushes for blending).
