Late Brag
by Erica on

Hello Everybody-

I realize this brag might be a little late, but I have my first Champion now, Ch Adellin's Wild Spirit of Nantess, otherwise known as "Dillon".  He finished on January 5, 2008 at the Land O Lakes Kennel Club in St. Paul Under Judge Dorothy J Wilkins for a 4 point major!  He received his first major back in September under Judge Betty Krause at the Monroe Kennel Club in Michigan.  He was handled to both of his majors and the majority of his points by Tessie Savage.  Dillon was bred by Linda Kulow, Nancy and Tessie Savage.  His Sire is BIS BISS Am Can Ch Bentbrook's Image of High Noon SOM "Spirit", and his Dam is Ch Adellins Annie with Luv by Bridger.  Now that Dillon has acheived his AKC Championship I am planning on entering him in some Rally Obedience shows soon to hopefully put a title on the other end of his name!

Thanks for letting me share!

New Boxer Baby!
by Mike and Mary Moore on

Just thought we would take a moment and introduce the newest member of the Moore family - "Epic."

Although we started out searching for another deaf white boxer needing a special family, we found a very nice boxer out of strong working lines.  We hope to show Epic in obedience and agility.  He is also showing some early signs of having a knack for tracking, so we may dabble in that as well.

We are so excited to have a boxer in the family again.  Although no dog could ever replace our sweet and special Gus, we are thoroughly enjoying our new boxer baby.

Kind regards,

Mike and Mary Moore

And, of course, "Partner" and "Epic"

In Memory of Gus
by nwboxerclub on

The Club received the following from Mike and Mary Moore:

It is with a heavy heart we say farewell to our beloved rescue boxer, Gus. Many of you will remember Gus as the deaf white boxer puppy in rescue. We were priviledged to share nearly 10 years with Gus, and are filled with many wonderful memories. We fondly recall the day he came to live with us - Gus walked right through the front door like he had always belonged in our home, and never went through any tough adjustment period that we had expected. I also remember the day we met our future vet, Dr. Grant. Dr. Grant was watching us train Gus in agility, and chastised me for not being more of a cheerleader and giving the dog lots of "atta-boys". We had to let him know that Gus was deaf, and there was a signal that we used to let him know he was a good boy. We were very proud of Gus' achievements - he earned a CD degree from the United Kennel Club, which allows deaf dogs to compete. He also earned a Flyball Dog Excellent title, and a Canine Good Citizen title. My favorite memories are Sunday mornings snuggling in the bed before the rest of the house woke up. And my last memory, is the day we sent Gus to the Rainbow Bridge. As Dr. Grant gave the injection, Gus gave me one last kiss and then he was gone. Farewell Gus. We love you. We miss you. We will never forget you. Mike and Mary Moore
