Excel is a standard spreadsheet application.    It allows one to enter numerical values or data into the rows and columns.  It's purpose is to use the numerical entries for such things as calculations, graphs, and statistical analysis.

Excel Panel


Above is the default view for excel 2007. You will notice some area's highlighted with colored/shaded boxes. These are as follows:


The Menu Bar is highlighted in a yellow box.

The formatting bar is highlighted in a pink box. (This bar will change depending on which tab is selected from the menu bar)

The blue shaded box displays which cell is currently selected (A1)

The gray shaded box highlights the formula field.

The box highlighted in black is the currently selected cell.

The spreadsheet consists of many "cells". One is highlighted in red.

The blue box area demonstrates a "row".

The green box demonstrates a column.

Towards the bottom of the screen is the sheet selection tabs. It is highlighted by a red shaded box.

Edit the spreadsheet located below with the following criteria.


Fill in
1. D7=905
2. C4=167.10

Formatting
3. Data range C2:E6 = 2 decimal points
4. Column D's data (Amount Due) = Red Text
5. Delete row 1
6. Fit columns to fit width
7. Bold row 1

Change cells
8. Change B2 to Item

Formula
9. Find the difference of billable data vs Amount paid. Create formula it's respective E column (Due)
10. Create a sum formula for all data under E


11. Select cell H10. Change the font color to black.
