X1 is a Desktop Search application. The software is designed to help you wade through your email’s and files quickly and efficiently. The software displays results and matches words/phrase as you type out your query and has a built in preview window so you can easily find the data you are searching for.
The following link is a basic interactive tutorial.
1. Search for the phrase “Fruit is sweetest” in a file. What is the first sentence of the document?
2. Search for a document with the following words - wrap, department, and tokyo. What type of file is found?
3. Search for a document with the word “Arizona” which does not have the word “revolution” in the document also. What is the name of the file?
4. Find a word document with the following words: Revolution and Tokyo. Give the filepath of the stored document?
5. Find an email with “Quickbase Access” as the subject. Who sent the email?
6. Find an email with the following words – hyphens, install, and attention. What date was this email sent and what is the subject?
7. Find an email with the following phrase located in an attachment. “Process transforms” What is the name of the attachment and who sent it?
