Biography
Lian Ladia is an independent curator, writer and Co-founder of http://plantingrice.com.  In 2011, She has completed the first Curatorial Residency program of Node Curatorial Studies in Berlin, Germany together with seven international curators.  Lian is part of Kwatro-Kantos (San Francisco, CA), and the curatorial team of Green Papaya Art Projects (Manila).  She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Visual Art Theory and Criticism and is based in Manila, Philippines.

Statement

I am interested in project-oriented or idea-based practices and methodologies in art communities and alternative spaces.  Currently, I am investigating curatorial methodologies grounded on artistic productions surrounding the curator-artist role transgression as well as the disparities of artistic processes in performance, idea-based and process-oriented works and practices.
