How To Submit Articles Efficiently

 

  Submitting your articles to dozens of directories can be tedious and take up a lot of time. If you donīt want to invest in a product like ArticleAnnouncer that does the heavy work for you, you need to learn how to work efficiently.

 

   The first thing to do is to sign up to every directory you can find. Try to use the same Log In Name and password for all directories so you wonīt be struggling to remember which one is for which website. Once youīre signed in, it will only take a minute or two to submit your article.

 

   When you write your article, itīs always best to save it in text format. If youīre using Word or a similar word processor, you could end up with errors or weird characters. Some directories only accept text documents. Word has the option of saving in text, but you could also write in Notepad which comes with every Windows system.

 

   You will also need a resource box so your article will do your promo work for you. Itīs pretty simple to write a resource box, but you should have more than one available. Since Google values natural links and likes to see varied anchor text (the link text), itīs a good idea to have three or four resource boxes with different anchor text. You can rotate these boxes, using one on one article, another on a different article, etc.

 

   Set up a word processor document where you place all of your resource boxes. You should have three or four versions with HTML, and at least one with no HTML since some directories donīt allow it, even in the resource box. Now, when youīre submitting articles, you can just open the document and copy and paste the appropriate resource box text.

 

   Decide on a goal, whether you want to submit one article to 10 directories a week or five articles to one directory a day. Write the goal down and put it where you can see if from your computer. Add the goal to your daily "to do" list.

 

   You should also set up a list of article directories that you have signed up for as well as a list of your articles to be submitted. As you submit each article, write the name under the directory. This will help you keep track of where youīve already submitted, so you wonīt be jumping from directory to directory, only to discover the article is already there.

 

   Now, letīs go through a normal promotion day step-by-step.

  1. Open your article file.
  2. Open your directory file.
  3. Open your resource box file.
  4. Sign in to the first directory.
  5. Copy and paste the article.
  6. Copy and paste the resource box.
  7. Fill in remaining information.
  8. Sign into second directory.
  9. Repeat steps 5-8.

 

   As you can see, you can get through a large number of submissions quite rapidly, which means more promotion in less time for you!
