Burgoyne Woods leash free dog parks opened in December of 2006.  There are two leash free areas fully enclosed for your pups to enjoy.  The small dog park is 1 acre and is for small dogs only.  The 4 acre enclosure is intended for medium and large dogs but small dogs are welcome as well.  Dog owners are a self policing group- they are polite, clean up after their dogs and want to ensure the continued success of leash free areas operating in the City of St. Catharines.  

Burgoyne Woods is located off Glenridge Ave.  Turn onto Edgedale Ave and proceed into the park.  In the winter, the road is closed and you are asked to park in the pool area and hike across the ravine to the leash free area.  In the warmer months, dog park patrons may park by the pavilion.  Please remember to bring poop bags with you, just in case the dispensers are empty, or your dog can't wait!  Always pick up the poo and any other trash you happen across.
