Fine Art Prints at Imagekind
For people who prefer to purchase a fine art print rather than original artwork, I've arranged that Imagekind should produce fine art prints of my work.  You can see an overview of my Print Galleries on http://makingamark.imagekind.com.  Alternatively click the links to access current galleries (below) to see the choice of works that are currently available.  New images are being added all the time and will be highlighted on my blog - Making A Mark.

The Service

Imagekind offers black and white and color printing that can be customised to deliver what you want.  Prints are made using only archival quality, pigmented inks, and acid free media to ensure that with proper care, they will look as good 70 years from now as they do today.  The main reasons I've chosen to use Imagekind are because:

• the very wide choice available in terms of their ability to produce a 'ready to hang' product if you want more than just a fine art print.  Choose from a variety of sizes, eight different papers, two canvas finishes, over 150 mats and 160 frames.  Read the details here.
  
• their use of high quality printers and the new Ultra- Chrome K3 pigmented inkset, from Epson (see left).  The inks used in most ink jet printers that are sold (even expensive ones!) are dye based - which means that printing has a limited life.  However, Epson's pigment based inks used in fine art printers enable a better quality product - they produce outstanding color and neutral black & white prints on a variety of media including glossy, satin, matte, fine art and canvas. The Epson system of Inks and Paper have also received lightfast permanence ratings from the Wilhelm Research Institute that well exceed 100 yrs (with proper UV protection).  You can read more about the permanence of the inks and lightfastness quality here.

The Options

These are the options available to you.  You can:

• order a print - and choose which size you prefer and what sort of support it should be printed on. The papers used include fine art papers from both Epson and Hahnemuhle, internationally recognized as leaders in the production of fine art media. These papers are widely used in the visual arts world for prints and paintings, look tremendous and will last hundreds of years if cared for properly.
  
• order an image on canvas if you prefer.  Your canvas print can be stretched over durable stretcher bars to produce either a Museum wrap (which leaves a white border around the sides) or a Gallery wrap (which pulls a portion of the image around the sides).
• order a print with customised framing if you want a picture that is 'ready to hang' and fits in well with your existing decor.  Materials are available in both conservation and non-conservation categories.  You're able to choose materials which will fit both your style and your budget.
• order a print with a mat and frame customised by me.  For each image, I choose what I would use as a mat and frame and this is then displayed on the individual gallery page for that image.  You can see some examples in the banner on the left.  Click one of these to see a larger version.
