His Life




Paul YimWui Quon passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2009 at the age of 58, in El Paso, Texas. A loving husband, father, family man and friend, he will be remembered for his zest for living, ambition,  positive outlook on life and his dedication to helping those less fortunate. Paul brought enjoyment to all he encountered especially to the lives of his family and friends. He valued family and service to his community and was involved at the El Paso Chinese Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and taught his children to love and serve the Lord. Nothing was more important to him than his family and he was regularly seen supporting the academic and extracurricular activities of his children. In 2002, Paul and his wife were recognized as Parents of the Year at Texas Tech University. Paul is the current Governor of New Mexico-West Texas Optimist Clubs and has held many other distinguished positions in the club since he joined in 1974. He also served as Vice Chairman for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board of El Paso. He was dedicated to life-long learning for himself and mentored those around him. Paul graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles, CA and continued his education at Los Angeles City College and UTEP. He had a successful career in retail where he held management positions with Aaronson Brothers and Dillard’s. He went on to become a successful entrepreneur with his company, Keystone Trading Co, working in manufacturing and product development overseas.  He enjoyed working on his yard and garden and sharing his harvest of fruits and vegetables with all of his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
