Baby iguanas are sold everywhere in petshops and even on swapmeets. That is tragic as these lizards are not easy to care for and have complicated personalities. They are intelligent and can form attachments to their humans. But they are wild animals that need to be tamed with lots of patience and love.THEY ARE NEVER GOOD PETS FOR CHILDREN,PERIOD!The shelters are full with unwanted iggies. That is so sad as most will never find a new home and will languish in the shelter and/or get euthanized.
Many iguanas are kept by people who know nothing about how to care for them or believe what ill-informed petstore clerks tell them.
So to stop rambling on and on,here are links to tell you how to take care of your iggy.If that is not enough you can e-mail me anytime.
