Reptiles have special needs!Depending on where it originated from you need a tropical set-up or a desert-type set-up or an outdoor pen. Some reptiles need to hibernate to procreate, some should never get cold, some need running or dripping water to drink,etc.-The list is endless.Advice from Petstore personal is questionable, unless it's a store that specializes in reptiles but even then:never just accept information from just one source.Do your own research!Read!Join a society or club!Talk to people who are keeping the sort of animal that you are enqiering about with success.
I have kept and fostered many animals and I continually do research into the matters of husbandry, health, behaviour and reproduction. There are species that I am not so familiar with and I will say so if that is the case but most reptiles that are commonly kept are on my list of information that is available, that includes the magnificent giant iguana, the wonderfull bearded dragons, the beautiful green waterdragons, the lively basilisc, the exciting world of snakes and the cuteness of turtles.
Never stop asking but also apply some common sense!
