Main Page
Welcome to the Reptisitter.I am a person obsessed:With reptiles-whether out in the wild or in our backyards or in our lifes as cherished members of our families.

There are many ways why  reptiles can make good pets;No hair,no fleas,no noise! No smelly breath!Reptiles are clean! They don't wake me and my neighbors up at two in the morning! They don't sniff my guests in inappropriate places.
But they also have  stricter requirements.Keeping a reptile happy and healthy is not as easy as a dog or cat.My local supermarket does not have iguana food on the shelfs or frozen mice in the freezer.
People always want to know if reptiles are affectionate. If you want something that jumps onto your best coat with muddy paws and slobbers all over your face then a reptile is not for you but iguanas do get attached and suffer when their caretaker is not around;turtles will eat out of your hand if they know you and snakes nestle into your sweater with the head out to keep an eye on things. My chameleon is happiest when he can sit on my head and he sleeps in my hand.My iguana lets me know when he sees me and blissfully closes his eyes when I rub his back. There is no daubt in my mind that under proper care your reptile can be your friend and buddy.
