José began his communications career in Grey Advertising's media department, where he was an integral part of the Pantene PRO-V launch. Since then, he has worked in almost every facet of Hispanic marketing from sales to strategic planning to account management.
 
He joined Publicis Hispanic division in New York as Managing Director of the office that was part of the global Garnier team during the introduction of Fructis in the US to the Hispanic market.  In addition, he grew the office with brands such as Chivas Regal, Nutrisse, Nestlé’s Carnation, Wonka Candy and Nestlé Waters North America.
 
Prior to joining REVOLUCION in 2008, as the founder and partner of Consumer Contacts, a boutique marketing consulting company focused on the Hispanic market, he and his business partner made multiple visits to IKEA making sure that all of the new furniture matched the design of the office space. He started the company with a combination of his marketing, creativity and entrepreneurial skills to help launch ZICO coconut water that was recognized this year by Ad Age as one of the “hottest brands”.
 
José has experience in a diverse range of categories including automotive, beer, cosmetics, packaged goods, telecommunications and retail.  He has driven marketing and communications strategies for blue-chip clients including Nestlé Waters North America, Procter & Gamble, Toyota Motors, SBC Communications and Lowe's Home Improvement. His non-profit experience includes campaigns for the California Department of Health Services, CASA (National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association) and the Kaiser Family Foundation.
