Q: What is Seattle Next Door?
A: Seattle Next Door is currently the business name for my photography. In the future - I aim for SND to include all aspects of photography, music, and multimedia. SND has collaborated with MUA's as well as digitial media artists.
Q: Describe the scope of your work.
A: I , like most photographers, started off with casual themed shoots. I have since expanded my scope to include cinematic, artistic, glamour, music, sports, as well as mature themed shoots. If there is something creative and/or artistic about a shoot idea, I will consider it.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: My standard rate starts at $100/hour with a 2 hour minimum. Each shoot is different so please inquire for more specifics. I'll give you a quote within 24 hours or less.
Q. What do you look for in a potential model to collaborate with?
A. I look for a model with a good look and personality to match. One can compensate for the other in my eyes. There needs to be something of interest to me - and that changes from model to model. Experience is not a requirement to work with me. I work with models of all ages, ethnicities, religous backgrounds, etc. I work with everybody so to speak.
Q. Do you do TFP or TFCD shoots for new models?
A. It depends on my shooting schedule but, typically, I can find the time to work with new models if I feel you have something that can benefit my portfolio.
Q. Do you accept assignments involving minors?
A. Yes, on a case by case basis. I require a parent or legal guardian present. No exceptions.
Q. What type of shoot do you recommend first?
A. I will always do my best to tailor the shoot around the model's needs. Most likely a casual shoot with different looks is what I would recommend first. But, if the model already knows they want to replicate a certain look from one of my previous shoots, that is a possiblity as well.
Q: Where is your studio located?
A: SND is based out of Edmonds, WA. I currently do not have a professional studio. All work is done at outsourced locations (both indoors and outdoors).
Q: Do you travel for shoots?
A: Yes! Inquire for rates.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: SND was born on September 13, 2005. While I am rather new to the field, I feel my work speaks for itself. I have been involved with photography since my formative years but I did not consider it a serious endeavor until 2005.
Q: Why should I schedule a shoot with you?
A: I take what I do very seriously. I approach all aspects of my work with a professional attitude. As a model or other related professional, you will be treated with respect during one of my shoots. I subscribe to the old saying that you should treat people the way you want to be treated. I have worked with several models multiple times. I believe that says something about my professionalism. References always available upon request.
Q. What are mature themed shoots?
A. Mature themed shoots are artistic images that are intended for of-age audiences. I have many visitors who are minors who, legally, cannot view such images. At some point - these images will see the light of day as I am proud of all of my work.
Q: What won't you shoot?
A: Anything that I consider pornographic.
