NEWS - 2009 SO FAR - A new Coach!

 

As all good fans of the new craze sweeping the nation should know Oaks has moved to NIAGARA at the top of Penistone Rd.  Since the mid months of the year Sheffield Oaks have trained hard under the guidance of the clubs NEW COACH Brian Spolander.  Bred from the dusty plains of South Africa, Brian played rugby throughout his youth culminating in playing for his country at under 21 level before moving to the UK.  Under his guidance Oaks have slowly been growing their numbers and honing their skills.  The days of being thumped fifty nill have gone and Oaks are again competitive and on the rise.

 

With a palpable feeling of success in the air Oaks are improving and getting ever closer to playing at their best.  Their most recent game against the table leaders was very unlucky to not end in a win.

 

Oaks is a great club open to players of any ability.  So regardless of your playing history get down to Oaks and join in! Come down and watch a game from the bar that overlooks the pitch.
