Sheffield Oaks v Ossett  12 - 0 WIN

A lovely Autumn afternoon greeted both teams and despite arriving a little late to our own ground we managed to get everyone ready for kick off!!

A slow start saw few dropped passes and wayward passes, including a gem from Darren which managed to cut out the entire back line and roll into touch from the centre of the pitch!!  But all was forgotten when the Oaks found second and then third gear. After some great buildup play by the forwards and backs a clever change of direction by Bonzo sent Frets flying into the corner for a try.  True to form Glynn sided with the opposition and disputed the placement but fortunately the ref paid no attention and instead decided to listen to Pete Snr for once!!

Oaks continued their shift through the gears in the second half... Unfortunately Rusty's hangover hadn't,  so when he was left a few minutes to chase a kick down he managed to miss it and after a few more snatches at the egg he was fortunately saved from embarrassment when Aeyro heroically cleaned up pushing the Ossett player into touch inches from the line!!

Fortunately for Oaks, Ossett took off their MASSIVE prop allowing some parity at the scrums. As a result a scrum within a sniff of the Ossett line allowed Oaks to set up the match winner.  A great run from No 8 by Lee allowed Ticker to get inventive throwing a great dummy to Hazza before Selly opened a hole for Bonzo to break his duck. After a fighting comeback from Ossett, Oaks held out to secure a win and hopfully start another winning streak!

A special mention to Selly who was sitting on his couch eating a biscuit and having a coffee at 1.40pm!! Ahhhh only 40 minute to kick off... She'll be rieeeete!!

M.O.M - Tom for some great breaks and solid defence.

Golden Moment - Rusty's perfect penalty from in front of the posts...

D.O.D -....unfortunately for Rusty we were playing rugby and not football, so although his top corner effort would have no doubt beaten any keeper it wasn't quite what we were after.

A Special Thanks: Goes to God for forgiving Jimmy and allowing his kicking boots back again!! Cheers mate!!
