Pre-Season Friendly Dronfield 0-17 Sheffield Oaks

 

A great way to start the season is with a win and thats what we got!!  After sizing up the considerably larger opposition we went into the game slightly aprehensive but soon sured up to them and started to push them back and pile on the pressure. After a good bit of lead up work by the forwards (and the odd back!!) Fretwell charged in over the line only to realise that he had forgotten to take the ball with him!!  Not to be too put off we soon scored through Tom in almost the same position and was duely converted.  Through some great defence and support play we were able to turn defence into attack and turn over a good number of balls but it wasn't untill the second half that we were able to score again.  After some great rugby using most players on the pitch we were able to get Tom over again!  Then again through Selly on the final whistle!

 

Some great defence against some big running players - I'm sure some people are still feeling some of those hand-offs!! and comitted support play everyone put in a great effort and were rewarded with a win!  Well done lads!
