Sheffield Oaks 0 - 25 Mosborough

Sheffield Oaks produced what could only be described as lack lustre performance as Mosborough picked up ample revenge for an early season reverse. Oaks failed to compete well at the lineout and around the ruck allowing the strong Mosborough runners opportunity to run at the Oaks defence. However despite being permanently camped in the Oaks 22, the visitors could only take a 6-0 lead into halftime.

The second half did  no prove any more fruitful for Oaks despite having some good phases of possession with birthday boy Darren Blewitt making several half breaks. After an injury at scrum half, Oaks were forced to shuffled the deck with several players out of position and lost some shape, Mosborough capitalised and managed to run in three second half tries.  The nature of two of the tries (a charged down kick, and a large overlap after an inury had reduced Oaks to 14 men) may have given a flattering score line to the visitors, though Oaks never seriously threatened to score and for the second time this season finished a match without any points.

D.O.D - Anyone in a blue shirt who seemingly had forgotten how to tackle.

Golden Moment - With 20 mins to go Oaks were forced to play Tom WJ at 9 and Darren at 10.  This ensured Oaks had a half back combination with blood alcohol levels that would have made Oliver Reed proud.

Quote of  Day - 'I've got a girlfriend, so I'll use that instead.' - Tom S explaining his alternative to the 'solo symphony' as a way to relieve post match frustrations.

White Lines. Don't do it! - Despite the red try lines being dispensed with the football pitch markings at niagara continued to cause confusion.
