Following a six-month development cycle and a smooth launch on Aug 03, 2005, the new release has stirred quite an excitement and marked the beginning of a new level of service aiming to provide a one-stop venue for a complete web presence.
Combining an extended feature set with subtle usability enhancements, version 2.0 sets out to offer home users the added power of blogging, photo prints and improved photo sharing, while at the same targeting SMBs with more advanced options such as business-oriented templates, forms editor and mailing lists. And more than ever, SiteKreator is the place to get it all at once.
Version 2.0 is essentially the result of a strongly feedback-driven product evolution. We have listened to your requests, analyzed opinions, continually revised feature lists based on your recommendations and put the release to rigorous beta tests to ensure that it meets your expectations for a more powerful and very simple to use publishing tool for all your web content needs. And though we still have some steps to go, judging by your initial feedback the 2.0 has made a difference indeed!
SiteKreator 2.0 brings about a set of brand new features as well as significant areas of upgrade, briefly reviewed below.
Blog and Forum
The new Blog and Forum functionality allows creating a discussion board or weblog journal with the following customization options:

Mailing List

management and import of subscribers lists

Business Templates
The first series of the long-awaited Business-oriented templates - Cocoa, FutureTech and Charcoal - offer the following advanced options to help any business create a professional web presence:

promotional period: Anyone who chooses a business template in August 2005 will be able to continue using it for free after this introduction period. Starting in September, business templates will be available for a small one-time fee.
Standard Templates Face-lift
Most of our standard templates have been beautified and new color schemes added to Seasons, Simple Basics, Aqua, Standard.
Custom Page Not Found
The custom Page Not Found feature will let you set up a custom page to show when a viewer requests a non-existing URL on your site.
Print Page, Send To Email
An interface to Print a page in printer-friendly format or Send a link to page via email has been included at the bottom of all templates.
FireFox Compatibility
Mozilla /FireFox compatibility for all SiteKreator features has been significantly improved. All previously non-supported functionalities in the Mozilla version of the Text and Image editor (such as Media files, Spellcheck, Anchors, Advanced formatting) have now been implemented.
And before you ask how to get all the new goodies on your SiteKreator account - you've already got them. Be sure to check the Advanced elements section in your Control Panels and enable the desired features before starting work on your website. While you are trying out SiteKreator 2.0, we have already started shaping up the road map for version 2.5 based on your feedback and suggestions.
