| The
Asian American Association (AAA) is a completely student-run
organization at Northern Illinois University. AAA's goal
is to strengthen the Asian voice
on campus and unite the Asian community. Every month a meeting is held
to discuss current issues, plan events, and to promote friendships
among the student members. Th rough use of workshops, speakers, and activities the association provides a basis for leaders to flourish.
The
Executive Board of AAA is the backbone of planning and organization.
Each member of the E.Board holds a position (president, vice president,
secreatry, etc.) and acts as a leader as well as a role model for
others.
Throughout the year large events are planned and executed by the E.Board and the members. Examples of this include our annual  Multicultural
Show, Kareoke Night, Motivating Speakers and our biggest event the
Annual Fashion show. These events not only show the diferences in
our cultures but also brings awareness on campus of the Asian American
community.
