"I seek to capture a small glimpse of the beauty of nature that has been given as a gift to mankind through our Creator. Art is all around us to be enjoyed and admired. What a job to become a partner with our wonderful world. I have evolved into an 'environment abstract painter' as I seek to transpose environmental images and themes with much color to the blank canvas using creatures and artifacts that surround me at Lake Murray and beyond. The shell of a giant Garr, the shed of a snake, the butterfly, the flowers and even the dragonfly unites with colors to resurrect life. I find beauty in nature at my feet, from the water and air, from the changing seasons and from plants and flowers. Motion, color, and mood of the environment are integrated into my paintings. Each painting begs of the touch of a human hand. Always original and never duplicated, my paintings strive to ennoble color and are always giving the viewer a personal experience to ponder."
