Close-up macro photo work has always intrigued me.   The detail you can show of a product or item is amazing and gives a personal
feel to the shot.  It brings you in closer than your eye can focus to an almost unrealistic connection with the photo.  The viewer
feels as if they are looking through a microscope for a detailed study of whatever it is they are looking at.

The artistic end of this type of work is also great fun!  The photographer becomes a scientist to delve into the makings of
whatever it is they are shooting.  It's a thrill to be able to get that close to something and capture it for others to see.  I walk
around with my camera just waiting for the next item I want to take a closer look at!  Besides the 'fun' aspect of it - I also
use macro-photography in business, when someone needs photos of such a nature for advertisements, internet use, and
commercial use.  To show jewelry, watches, insects, and necessary details on items that they eye can't see.
