I always like to have my camera with me, because I never know when I'm going to run into the 'perfect shot'!  Many times I've wished I had it and didn't!

I find great shots all around me:  in nature, when I'm at a local car show or attraction, the beach, the mountains, or even just wandering around a fair or public place.  The perfect photo is different to everyone - people see things differently, so I try to shoot a variety of subjects with appeal to everyone.

In my travels abroad, it's much easier to shoot because there is so much to photograph in the way of art and beauty -- all of the classic architecture, famous artwork and sculpture, distinct countrysides.  You can go crazy in another country with your camera!  Italy and Greece were my downfall, especially after having been an art major in school and having studied all of those works of art and architecture for years.  Hawaii certainly gives you a great opportunity to shoot tropical settings and sunsets however -- every night is another beautiful sunset!  The lush surroundings are great, yet each island has it's own distinct personality and look.

With the new digital age of photography, it's great to know that you'll never run out of film in the middle of your photo fantasy!
