Weddings and parties are big events for photos nowadays -- I've had the occasion to shoot weddings for my friends and for my friends' children recently, as well as for my nieces and nephews.
I like to keep my wedding photos on the 'fun & candid' side, rather than the usual stuffy classical look. However, those are possible too if that's what you want. However, I don't do the lights / umbrellas / hour long photo session after the ceremony - while everyone's anxiously wanting to hurry off to the reception! I try to get some fun pre-ceremony shots of everyone getting ready, then the actual ceremony if it doesn't interfere with a videographer or the wedding. Afterwards, I'll get all of the family group shots in the church or wherever the wedding is being held - then get the family off to the reception, while I keep the bride and groom for some 'artsy and special' shots. At the reception I'll catch the usual cake cutting and toasts, as well as everyone enjoying themselves!Nowadays everyone is wanting digital photos on a CD - however I do also shoot 35mm if that's what you would prefer.
Some couples like black&white wedding photos. That can be done using black&white film OR turning the color shots into B&W in Photoshop afterwards.
