To help schools and communities take full advantage of their gardens and orchards, we provide training in gardening techniques, tree-planting, care of fruit trees, and composting. Trainings usually include both classroom and practical sessions. For school gardens, students, teachers, and parents all participate in the training so that there is broad understanding and all can take responsibility for the garden's success. For community gardens, both the garden or tree committee and other community members learn the techniques. With this knowledge, villagers and students are better equipped to care for their gardens, fight pests, and harvest more.
