Susan Koller has been doing pro bono public relations work for The Tandana Foundation since July 2009. She writes and distributes news releases about Tandana to various media outlets throughout the United States and writes features highlighting the contributions of volunteers and donors for Tandana's website. Susan previously worked for the Checker Book Publishing Group as the company's publicity director. She has also used her public relations skills volunteering for both the Access Center for Independent Living and Breakthrough Cincinnati. Susan has a bachelor's degree in mass communication and a master's degree in public administration from Wright State University. She chose to volunteer for The Tandana Foundation not only because she gets the chance to use her writing skills, but also because she believes in the foundation’s mission of promoting cross-cultural experiences and relationships. She learned the value of such experience first-hand from the cross-cultural friendships she made while growing up in Saudi Arabia. Susan also likes volunteering for Tandana because she feels she is making a difference. She lives in Dayton, Ohio, and her hobbies include reading and going for walks with her service dog Nick.
