want to contribute some of your work to the zine? have loads of people ooh-and-ahh over it from far flung areas all over the planet? see your work in print? of course you do.

tangent always considers interesting work, ideas and writing (basically, if i like it, it goes in). if you'd like to contribute something or have an idea you want to propose, send me an email and we'll discuss. you won't be paid but your work will be seen by a fair few people, which is sort of the point, really. and in return for your effort and generosity i'll post you a couple issues that feature your work.

what you need to know
supplying images
(remember, this is a black and white photocopied deal here so consider how your image will reproduce)
file type
300 dpi
grey scale
jpeg
file dimensions
full page with bleed  -  150mm height x 212mm width
other sizes - 212mm wide (or smaller) x anything smaller than 150mm height
supplying text
(remember, it's a zine, not a book so keep it reasonably short - 500 - 600 words  max)
file type
microsoft word, apple works (ugh!) or an rtf file will do.
please don't put loads of tabs and fancy columns in. it's a nightmare to unravel and i have enough sleepless nights as it is. that said, if a certain look is integral to the presentation of the work, let me know and we'll sort it. hey, i'm flexible ;)
proposing ideas
as stated, if i like it, it goes in (it's good to be king; or in my case, queen).
but seriously, i'm interested in showcasing work that's interesting, challenging, thought provoking and might otherwise go under the radar. i like putting forth ideas and questions that pertain to what being an artist is about in these strange times we live in. issues are themed but only as a somewhat flexible starting point, so each issue evolves as it comes together.
how to send stuff
email is fine as long as the file is around 4 megs or less. otherwise slap it on a cd and post it to me.
