Demonstration:

John Benton did a nice job demonstrating how to make a game call.  He showed the method to turn, gave tips and provided the resource to buy the kits.  He even tried the call out so we could hear how it sounded. An especially important tip he pointed out was not to use a spindle-roughing gouge while turning a bowl.  This is because the tang of the spindle-roughing gouge that is in the handle of the tool is very short, and could snap under the shearing forces created when hollowing out a bowl.
