October Meeting Minutes
October 7, 2009
Meeting brought to order by Rudy Lopez at 7:05 pm. 49 people in attendance.
Pat Hess and Don Watson were excused as they were unable to attend.
Welcome and Introduction of visitors
Minutes of last meeting – Secretary (Don Watson) not present, but see minutes on website.
Treasurer’s Report – Nothing new (about $5300)
Old Business –
Pepper Mill contest next meeting.
Florida Woodturning Symposium in January – already 100 people signed up, limited to 200. $200 grants are available to our members (must have never been and must have been a member for at least 6 months) To be held at Lake Yale Baptist Convention Center. Cost is about $300 for the meeting and accommodations
New Business –
Trey Acton – recent appendectomy.
Ron Browning Hat Demo this coming Saturday in Sarasota at Woodcraft Store.
Angel Ranon broke his leg a week ago – sent card around for signatures.
10th Annual Banquet on November 7th at Glenn’s Home (BYOB) 1pm
